Feras’ research interests focus on understanding the evolution of ice sheets, specifically in the context of ice-ocean dynamics occurring within the grounding zones of ice shelves. Feras uses data-driven numerical models to provide a mechanism for understanding the processes governing the behavior of ice shelves, as well as a means for predicting future sea level change. Additionally, his research includes the acquisition of aerogeophysical data sets in the Arctic and Antarctic which have been optimized for inclusion in models.
