GRADUATED 2020
James’ research involves active tectonic processes, particularly deformation mechanisms in rift and subduction zones. More specifically, the relationship between short-term and long-term deformation at active plate boundaries and the physical controls on deformation style. This includes geodynamic modeling of these processes informed by a variety of geophysical and geological methods including GPS, gravity, seismology, paleogeodesy, thermochronometric and cosmogenic dating.
