A new online archive dating back to Spring 2010, contains over 250 recorded science talks and is available now on the UTIG website. 

The UTIG Seminar Series Archive is the first step in a project to collect science talks held at UTIG and make them freely available online. Over the coming months, the recorded talks (including older recordings that are currently incompatible with modern browsers) will be systematically migrated to UTIG’s YouTube channel.

The archive will continue to grow as new talks are added.

Talks held under the UTIG Seminar Series brand cover a wide range of topics including climate, marine geology and geophysics, seismology, tectonics, energy resources, the cryosphere, planetary science, geoscience education, and diversity and inclusion. The weekly talks are given by exceptional scientists from around the world but are designed to offer broad, interdisciplinary appeal to the geosciences community. 

The archive also includes over 50 UTIG Discussion Hour (formerly UTIG Brown Bag) talks. UTIG Discussion Hour provides an informal setting for UTIG researchers and students to present their research, ideas, or experiences.UTIG Seminar Series talks are held throughout the semester, every Friday at 10:30-11:30 AM (CT).
