Jinsil’s work currently focuses on extreme climate and weather events and their physical mechanisms, using a super-large ensemble of global atmospheric model simulations. She is also interested in the role of tropical basin interactions in shaping tropical ocean variability and their impacts on climate variability and extreme weather events.
