VISITING RESEARCHER
For the past 50 years, Jed has conducted research on deep-water depositional processes, development of submarine fans, climate control of sediment deposition, seismic stratigraphy, and evolution of passive margins. Major research in the past 15 years has involved Quaternary sedimentation in the northern Gulf of Mexico under the Gulf Intraslope Basins Project (GIB), an industry-sponsored project at UTIG that aims to develop more reliable depositional analogues for hydrocarbon reservoirs.
