PROFESSOR EMERITUS
William’s research interests focus on various clastic depositional systems, with an emphasis on shelf and slope/basin deposits. In addition, he has been engaged in long-term synthesis studies of the Cenozoic deposits of the Gulf of Mexico and North Sea basins. Current research activity centers around the Gulf Basin Depositional Synthesis Project, an ongoing, industry-funded research consortium located at the UT Institute for Geophysics.
