Graduate Research Assistant
Mikayla Pascual’s research interests stem from a background in numerical modeling of Greenland outlet glaciers and studying the processes that control how they change at the ice-bed interface. Currently, her work is focused on modeling and understanding the effect of sedimentation within outlet glaciers. She is motivated to understand how sediment and erosion influence ice dynamics, in which contexts they have a large impact, and why. Mikayla graduated from Middlebury College with a B.A. in Geology in May 2022, where she produced an undergraduate thesis on simulating glacier change over time-variable topography.
