Graduate Research Assistant
Gavin is interested in biogeodynamics, the co-evolution of the planet and life on it. He is exploring how to use geodynamic numerical modeling techniques, plate tectonics, and paleogeographic reconstructions to assess the impact these processes have had on landscape evolution and terrestrial organisms today and in the past. Outside of studying, Gavin enjoys travelling; being outdoors hiking, biking, and camping; or indoors cooking and watching movies with his family.
Interests
Plate tectonics, plate reconstructions, mantle convection, biogeography, paleogeography
