
Spend Your Summer with L’SPACE Academy – Due Soon

The Lucy Mission’s L’SPACE Program is a free, online, interactive experience open to undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing a career within NASA or other organizations in the space ecosystem.
L’SPACE consists of two Academies – the Mission Concept Academy (MCA), and the NASA Proposal Writing and Evaluation Experience (NPWEE) Academy. Students may participate in one Academy per semester. Each 15-week Academy is designed to provide unique, hands-on learning and insight into the dynamic world of the space industry.
Applications close on April 12.
NASA Glenn Seeks Faculty For Fellowship Program

NASA’s Glenn Research Center is seeking applicants for a 10-week summer faculty fellowship opportunity. This program aims to enhance faculty professional knowledge and enrich the research and teaching at U.S. academic institutions by infusing NASA mission-related research and technology content into classroom teaching.
The deadline to apply is April 20.

NASA Glenn High School Engineering Institute Opens Apps

The NASA Glenn High School Engineering Institute is a weeklong program held at NASA’s Glenn Research Center. During the five-day institute, students will complete rigorous training, develop designs, and test prototypes. Activities will focus on three topic areas: acoustic dampening, power management and distribution, and simulated lunar operations.
This opportunity is open to students entering 11th or 12th grade in the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year.
The deadline to apply is May 1.
Design Challenge Speaker Announced: Heidi Parris, NASA Exploration Mission Planner

The Spring 2026 Design Challenge program is only days away – join NASA Texas Space Grant to see the incredible research these 20 Texas teams have completed.
Monday, April 13th
Day one kicks off with our guest speaker – Heidi Parris, Exploration Mission Planner from NASA’s Strategy and Architecture Office and our poster session.
Tuesday, April 14th
Day two brings our oral presentations. You won’t have to worry about missing presentations – they’ll be livestreamed to our TSGC Design Challenge YouTube page beginning at 8AM. Our award ceremony will also take place in the afternoon between 4-5pm, time varying depending on presentation and tabulation times.

Heidi Parris is an Exploration Mission Planner in NASA’s Strategy and Architecture Office, performing cross-cutting analysis and supporting integrated architecture development to enable future human exploration missions. Previously, Heidi managed cutting-edge scientific research onboard the International Space Station as an ISS Research Portfolio Manager and supported real-time rendezvous trajectory operations as a Visiting Vehicle Officer in NASA’s Mission Control Center (MCC). Heidi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering from Purdue University.

ARTEMIS II GOES THE DISTANCE
The Artemis II crew successfully flies around the Moon, breaking the record for farthest human travel from Earth. This mission also marks humanity’s return to deep space.
APR 10, 2026
ARTEMIS II COMES HOME
After completing their 10-day mission, the Artemis II crew will splash down in the Pacific Ocean after testing the Orion capsule’s heat shield.
