Virtual Career Connection: Welding Excellence in Space Exploration

Join NASA for a virtual event celebrating Career and Technical Education month by exploring the skilled trade jobs at NASA that are helping to shape the future of transportation, technology, and exploration.
This virtual event will feature a current NASA welder who creates critical joints and structures for NASA’s upcoming missions.
Registration for this event closes on Thursday, February 10th.
Summer 2026 NASA Internship Applications Due

NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM) paid internships allow college-level students to contribute to the agency’s mission to advance science, technology, aeronautics, and space exploration.
Applications for Summer 2026 internships close on February 27.
NASA SEES High School Internship Applications Now Open

The SEES Summer Intern Program is a nationally competitive STEM experience for high school students hosted by the University of Texas Center for Space Research. Interns collaborate with NASA, academic, and industry experts using mission data across disciplines such as aerospace, astronomy, planetary science, remote sensing, microgravity research, and space geodetic techniques. Interns take part in mission-based projects and strengthen teamwork, communication, and professional skills critical to the nation’s future science and engineering workforce.
Applications close on February 22.
Student Spaceflight Experiments Program Opens Applications

The National Center for Earth and Space Science Education announces Student Spaceflight Experiments Program (SSEP) Mission 22 to the International Space Station. This opportunity gives students across your institution the ability to design and propose microgravity experiments to fly in low-Earth orbit on the International Space Station (ISS). Experiments are designed to real world engineering and technology constraints imposed by the flight certified mini-lab that must be used, and the nature of flight operations to and from Low Earth Orbit.
Interested schools must inquire by no later than March 15.
