Analytical Laboratory for Paleoclimate Studies
The Analytical Laboratory for Paleoclimate Studies is a state of the art facility for analyzing sedimentary archives, such as lake and marine sediments, speleothems, and corals. The lab houses two thermo isotope ratio mass spectrometers and an Inductively Coupled Plasma-spectrometer (ICP).
GeoFluids & GeoMechanics Laboratory
Geofluids and geomechanics research are conducted at the GeoMechanics & GeoFluids Laboratory. The lab includes facilities for pressure core experimentation and geotechnical analysis.
Sediment Laboratory
The Sed Lab contains equipment for grain size analyses, including a Mastersizer 3000 laser particle analyzer. Each Maymester, the lab hosts UT’s Marine Geology and Geophysics field class for field sample analyses.
