Kehua is working on the methane hydrate formation and dissociation dynamics on both laboratory and geological scales through numerical and analytical models. She is interested in investigating answers to questions such as “how does methane hydrate form in porous media?” and “what factors control methane hydrate distributions?” as well as “how will different methane hydrate deposits respond to natural and induced perturbations?
