Postdoctoral Fellow
Abdo Elmeliegy graduated from North Carolina State University (NCSU) with a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, with concentration on inverse problems and their applications in seismic and biomedical imaging. In addition to his Ph.D., he earned two Master’s degrees, one in Applied Mathematics from NCSU, and the other in Structural Engineering from Cairo University. He joined UTIG in September 2023 where he works with Dr. Mrinal K. Sen on developing advanced methodologies to quantify uncertainties in geophysical full waveform inversion.
Interests
Computational imaging, image reconstruction, numerical optimization and uncertainty quantification.
