TEACHING ASSISTANT
Landon is a Ph.D. candidate on track to graduate in summer 2024. His expertise is in petrophysics and geomechanics, and he has a proficiency in log-based petrophysical analysis, in laboratory measurements, and broadly in geomechanics, both in conventional and unconventional reservoirs.
A key highlight of his research is the development of a model to predict pore pressure in the Permian Basin. In this he has combined petrophysical analysis of log and core data, geological analysis of the uplift of the Permian Basin, and a geomechanical model that describes the petrophysical response of unloaded rocks. He published this work in the Journal of Marine and Petroleum Geology last year in 2023.
