GRADUATED 2024

Landon was a Ph.D. candidate. His expertise was in petrophysics and geomechanics, and he had a proficiency in log-based petrophysical analysis, in laboratory measurements, and broadly in geomechanics, both in conventional and unconventional reservoirs.
A key highlight of his research was the development of a model to predict pore pressure in the Permian Basin. In this, he combined petrophysical analysis of log and core data, geological analysis of the uplift of the Permian Basin, and a geomechanical model that described the petrophysical response of unloaded rocks. He published this work in the Journal of Marine and Petroleum Geology in 2023.
