Graduate Research Assistant
Simone earned his MS in Geology from the University of Milano-Bicocca and Michigan Technological University in a double-degree program called INVOGE (International Masters in Volcanology and Geotechniques). He also holds a BS in Geological Sciences from the University of Milano-Bicocca.
Simone is currently studying for a PhD in Geological Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin, Jackson School of Geosciences. He is part of the UT Becker research group, working on modeling megathrust earthquakes in subduction zones. He is also collaborating with researchers at the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering & Sciences to develop advanced computational techniques for modeling megathrust earthquakes in subduction zones.
Geophysics, geodynamics, seismology, earthquake modeling, numerical modeling and tectonics.
