Although the school year has already begun, there’s no shortage of opportunities for college students. This month’s newsletter focuses on open scholarship and fellowship opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students. Plus, TSGC is proud to announce the selected teams for the Fall 2024 Design Challenge.
TSGC Scholarship, Fellowship Applications Now Open
Texas Space Grant’s Scholarship and Fellowship applications are now open! These awards recognize students and encourage their consideration of studies in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields which will ultimately lead to careers in STEM related fields.

RockSat-C, RockSat-X Program Deadline Flying By Soon
NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility is now accepting Intent to Fly Forms for their RockSat-C and RockSat-X programs!
These hands-on programs connect higher education students from across the United States with opportunities to fly their experiments into space on sounding rockets.
The Intent to Fly deadline for the 2024-2025 RockSat program is September 19, 2024.
Patti Grace Smith Fellowship Seeks Black Undergrads
The Patti Grace Smith Fellowship is open to all Black undergrads, in all majors, interested in working in the aviation and space industry. Fellows will be matched with a paid summer internship at a leading aerospace company or institution.

The Brooke Owens Fellowship To Offer Paid Internships
The Brooke Owens Fellowship – an aerospace fellowship for women and gender minorities – is now accepting applications for their class of 2025! The Brooke Owens Fellowship provides paid 12-week internships with aerospace organizations such as NASA Goddard, SpaceX, Blue Origin, and Lockheed Martin.

TSGC’s Design Challenge offers undergrad students the opportunity to propose, design, and fabricate a solution surrounding NASA’s research objectives.
